Who We Are
Gram Bikash Shohayak Shangstha (GBSS) is a non-political, non-profit, and non-government organization (NGO) established in 1988. Based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, GBSS works to improve the socio-economic conditions of poor and marginalized communities, focusing on women, children, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups.

Success Story
Sandipwan School
A child with hearing impairment enrolled in Sandipwan Inclusive School received education and sign language training. Now, the child is thriving in mainstream education, showcasing the power of inclusive learning and support.
Alokito Bhubon Project
An orphan girl at Alokito Bhubon received education, life skills training, and emotional support. She is now pursuing higher education and dreams of becoming a teacher, proving how care and opportunity can change lives.
Livelihood for Disabilities
GBSS provided training in livestock rearing and homestead gardening to families with disabled members. One family, after receiving training and support, started a small poultry farm, significantly increasing their household income.
